About us

Oxford EMI Training is an organisation which supports academics in Higher Education (HE) who teach their subject through the medium of English.
Our team consists of teacher trainers, researchers and academics with years of experience training academics around the world in English Medium Instruction. We are specialised in training lecturers who are teaching in international Higher Education, Vocational colleges, Transnational Education (TNEs), for double diplomas, for international lecture halls and for internationalisation at home. We enjoy running our EMI programmes/courses in every country we visit, learning about the local context and sharing that knowledge with our participants globally.
Our courses are based on the research done by our team in Oxford and other researchers around the world, and adapted to real world lecturers’ classrooms. We offer practical advice on EMI teaching, interactive pedagogy and we answer your questions on specific issues you face in your international classes.
We offer online and face-to-face courses worldwide as well as here in Oxford, UK. We work in France, Japan, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil as well as many other countries. With bespoke, tailored courses by EMI experts, we can focus on your teaching context and make sure that your teachers have the best chance to succeed in your internationalisation process.
