Anti-radicalisation policy

Prevent and Counter Terrorism

Oxford EMI Training takes its responsibilities for safeguarding seriously. In accordance with the Counter Terrorism and Security Act the company has a responsibility to prevent participants on our courses from being drawn into terrorism.

Prevent is a strand of the Government counter terrorism strategy. All terrorist groups who pose a threat seek to radicalise and recruit people to their cause. The Prevent strategy seeks to:

  • respond to the ideological challenge of terrorism and aspects of extremism, and the threat faced from those who promote these views.
  • provide practical help to stop people from being drawn into terrorism and ensure they are given appropriate advice and support.
  • work with a wide range of sectors where there are risks of radicalisation which needs to be addressed, including education, criminal justice, faith, charities, the internet, social media and health.

We provide a curriculum which promotes inclusiveness, knowledge, skills and understanding of international education and tolerance and understanding of others.

Should there be a concern, this should be reported to the Director.
