Creating in-house support for EMI lecturers - Madrid (May)
We are organising a 3-day course for English Language Specialists (ELT, ESP, EAP) teachers who wish to create in-house support for English Medium Instruction (EMI) lecturers in their university.
If your university is going global, if you are teaching an international class, then this is the EMI course you need.
This course is for:
Qualified and experienced EFL teacher/trainers who are working in an institution where EMI is being implemented. The goal is to provide an understanding of the needs of the lecturers and their students and to explore ways of offering effective and successful support.
During the course participants will:
Explore the research, pedagogy and training skills needed for high quality English Medium Instruction (EMI).
Analyse teaching and learning issues from an EMI lecturer’s perspective and propose and explore support strategies and interventions. There will be opportunities for participants to work on their own specific support role and context.
The Oxford EMI Training Certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course.
This course will take place from 28th May to 30th May 2019 in Madrid, Spain.
The course venue will be at Universidad San Pablo CEU, Moncloa: Julián Romea, 23. 28003 Madrid.
