We invite Oxford University lecturers and faculty members to deliver specific lectures related to EMI. Our course participants enjoy being students for a while and participating in a lecture given by a teacher from Oxford University.
The lectures are about specific subjects such as Business, Engineering, Physics, Materials,Technology in the Lecture Room, Deep Learning and so on. Our lecturers discuss the way they teach here in Oxford, how they manage in an internaitonal classroom and share their experiences of university teaching and learning.
|Dr Mohammad Yaqub is a visiting research fellow at the institute of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford and is a lecturer at the IT Learning Centre, IT Services, University of Oxford. Dr Yaqub is also the R&D lead at Intelligent Ultrasound Ltd where he leads different commercial projects. Dr Yaqub is particularly interested in medical image analysis applications especially the development of machine learning algorithms to improve ultrasound imaging. |Dr Steve New is Associate Professor in Operations Management, Said Business School and a Fellow of Hertford College, University of Oxford. Dr New is a leading authority on supply chain management. He is particularly interested in how individuals and organisations construct and interpret their environment and the systems in which they operate, how ethical and environmental issues are reflected in the supply chain, and in the impact of the internet and rise of B2B commerce. He is one of the leading scholars investigating the enigma of the Toyota Production System (TPS) and the West’s growing interest in the application of Japanese techniques to manufacturing.|
|Dr Maria Auger is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Materials. Maria’s research background is mainly devoted to the preparation and processing of materials. In recent years she has been involved in the development of ODS Fe-Cr alloys for fusion applications. Her research interest lies in correlating the processing parameters with the mechanical properties, microstructure and nanostructure of the obtained materials and their evolution after irradiation. In July 2013 she joined the Materials for Fusion and Fission project as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in collaboration with the Atom Probe group.|
